Ease into 2017 with classes

Classes resume for 2017 for the new term and two massage courses for January are fully booked! Having a Winter baby is tough as it’s cold, nights draw in early and as a new mum you feel it’s difficult to venture out, worried with how to wrap baby – are they too cold, too warm?  But first Christmas for babies are nice – an excuse to not do anything and to sit back…’oh I can’t do that, I’m feeding baby’.  Family get involved wanting to cuddle, although probably too much stimulation for little one, you should take advantage and slope off for a kip.

Starting an activity in January is a perfect way to ease into 2017 – the anti climax of Christmas, excitement, gifts, being surrounded by family and friends slowly becomes lonely again. Partner returns to work and you’re left alone again with baby. It’s too easy to think it’s too cold outside and not leave the house. So booking onto a weekly activity or two is a good way to maintain structure in your week, give yourself a goal to get dressed and leave the house and importantly, meet other mums like yourself, share experiences and make friends. With baby massage you are also learning a skill which helps you and your baby. With my classes the class size is small and intimate making it easy to meet and chat with other mums, it’s a warm cosy, unique studio and you get to enjoy a nice hot cup of tea and homemade treat at the end of each class. You’re a hard working mum and deserve it – no matter what resolutions you may have made!

After a break, I am looking forward to structure again and getting back on the mat, meeting lots of new mums and their little ones.
