I’m Susan, I am an established and award winning small business. First and foremost, I am a mum. I am fully a qualified baby massage, baby yoga, toddler yoga and baby reflexology instructor and have been teaching for over 10 years. My baby massage and baby yoga training was with hands on babies and the qualification is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives, Independent Therapist International and International Complementary Therapist Association. My toddler yoga training is with To Baby and Beyond and baby reflexology technique teaching qualification is with Mind Body & Sole. I am fully insured and I have DBS clearance. I’m also an Indian Head Massage and Thai Foot Massage therapist for grown ups, and run Appleton Holistics.
My family moved from London to Appleton, Cheshire in 2011. My background is in the media within communications, working at the BBC and with Daily Mail Group. I saw this move as an opportunity for a complete career change so undertook the training. I did baby massage and yoga with my daughter – over 15 years ago. I remember it clearly, not only because of the benefits for parent and baby, but it was the perfect way to meet other mums. My daughter still enjoys massage. I’ve taught hundreds of mums and babies and enjoy sharing the joy! I pride myself in providing wonderful classes that give mums long lasting fond memories. I am also experienced delivering massage and yoga and toddler yoga to nurseries and children’s centres and I was contracted to deliver services to a local authority. I was recently invited to be guest lecturer at Edgehill University on the benefits of Toddler Yoga for their Early Years students.
In 2014, I was proud to WIN a national award for Start Up Business of the Year with Mumandworking, which promotes flexible working for mums. Read the article in the Warrington Guardian, featured during the run up to the award.
I was presented with Best New Business Start Up Award 2012, by WorkBiz Academy, facilitated by, at the time, Warrington South MP, David Mowat, and awarded a Bronze Website Award by Mumprenuer UK.
