Safe. Cleanliness is…..

Cleanliness is the Hallmark of perfect standards and the best quality inspector is the conscience J R D Tata

Regardless of the current outbreak, when it comes to my classes, I have always maintained a thorough cleaning routine and ensured that parents can book with confidence with the peace of mind they are bringing their baby to hygienic environment.

With coronavirus gathering pace in the UK, the concern over contracting the virus becomes even more mindful, especially with a vulnerable newborn baby.

As we all become being extra stringent with our hygiene routine, it’s imperative that parents are reassured that they and their precious baby are being looked after. It’s always been standard practice for me to scrupulously clean everything that parents and babies come into contact with. The environment needs to be pleasant and comfortable. Babies are laid on mats and towels which are on the floor. Mats are cleaned with suitable disinfectant, I use separate mats for my external classes. Towels are fully laundered and tumble dried, sensory items are cleaned after each class and cups are washed in the dishwasher. I vacuum, clean and steam mop the floor every time.

The advantage with having my own studio, it is not a multi-purpose space and it’s just used for my massage and yoga classes. I don’t rely on cleaners so it is me that’s doing the cleaning.

The studio at InHale Yoga is also a cleaned to a high standard. The owner has taken action to ensure the studio is kept hygienically clean. The space is specifically used for yoga classes, so again not multi-purpose. Outside shoes are removed on entry, eliminating dirt coming into the studio. I use my own mats, towels, rugs and cups so, everything is thoroughly clean after use.

Although at the moment the virus seems to be affecting adults more than babies and children. Hopefully, babies are less likely to become infected or show milder symptoms than adults, unless they have underlying health conditions. Many of the mums do have older children, but a low number of cases in children is a good thing as children easily spread germs. With constant sick and nappy change, mums are always cleaning their hands anyway, but extra diligence with handwashing when arriving at classes will only help to minimise contamination.

So, it’s not just delivering amazing baby massage, reflexology and yoga classes to parents. There’s a huge amount of preparation that’s wrapped around the provision to make sure parents have the best experience as possible.
